The Jags Lost

I missed the game, but from what I heard and what little I saw of the gridiron action, it did not go well for Jacksonville. I felt as though we would not have a chance to see the game, no matter how important the game was for the Jags.

Anna decided to join the family right in the middle of the game, just as her mother predicted she would. When her father heard this, he rolled his eyes and said, “That sounds about right.”

She was due on the 17th, her Nana’s birthday. However, like her Nana, Anna was a little late.

I understand why, however; she needed just a couple of more days to finish becoming beautiful.

Now, I have not had the pleasure of being around too many little humans on the day they came into the world. Of those I have known on the first day of their lives, I sometimes wondered if they came with a return policy in the event the new parents wanted to exchange them for something “cuter.”

I have to say that when Anna, as well as her big brother and her cousin, Eva, came into the world, they were, well, downright gorgeous babies. It seems that all the babies related to Nana are gorgeously cute.

Big bro is now two and smart as a whip; on top of that, he is funny, too! I can’t wait to see what kind of mischief he will teach his little sister and their cousin.

Well, this blog is late because of Anna’s birthday. While Mom was busy giving birth and Dad was helping, Nana had the Dominic watch and I was the designated helper.

At the end of the day, Anna’s Dad proclaimed it was a great day, even if the Jags lost. I could not agree with him more. I still can’t get over the fact they predicted she would decide to be born in the middle of the game. Somehow, I think that little girl is on her parent’s wavelength.

I think she was the one who decided the middle of the game was the perfect time for her entrance. She’s going to like football.

Just like her mom and her Nana.
